Result #1: 160mm ISO 320 2.0sec at f/9.0 160mm taken on 2/1/2014
While I was seeking photo opportunity for the 12th man (Go Hawks), I noticed that Space Needle is lit up with Seahawks color Blue and Green. I believe the 12th flag is now in New York and not presented on Space Needle. I also notice that Waxing Crescent will pass across the observation deck of Space Needle if we take the photos from Melrose Avenue (just east of I-5) around 18:45-19:15 on the 1st of February. Exact location needs to be adjusted on site. The weather forecast indicates very good chance we can observe crescent moon that evening.
Key point of this shooting plan is to capture color decorated Space Needle and crescent together and make good design (composition) as like a picture. I plan to be the area before 18:30 to find the location (and parking spot).
After finishing this crescent and Space Needle, I will move to West Seattle to capture the 12th lighting display on the building from West Seattle.
Following my plan sheet for this shooting.
