As the temperature went down, I was hoping there would be a spectacular view at the falls. The falls were showing natural beauty as expected. I found very fascinating another natural beauty. Cold water and air formed various patterns of ice around the rocks in the river. Then water flow created white waves. With a slower shutter speed, at 2.5 seconds (and ISO 50), the water flow becomes soft and moody and shows high contrast with rocks and ice. Amazing artwork by nature.
One of images of rock and ice on the river shown above was featured as Readers Lens on Seattle Times.
